Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway (Philippians 3:14) .

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”(Proverbs 23:7)
The Word of God says that we are what we think in our hearts. Our character, how we see ourselves, how others see us, our victories and failures are not a result of chance or favor, but a result of our thought lives. Good thoughts bear good fruit, bad thoughts bad fruit (Matthew 7:17). Continue reading →
“What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder” (Matthew 19:6)
It was the year 2003. I was already divorced from my husband of twenty three years and had just recently been saved. I joined a small church in my neighborhood. I was in need of prayer support, and often asked for prayer. To my dismay my then pastor and other leaders in the church refused to pray for me. Being a “newborn babe” ( 1 Peter 2:2) in Christ, I was baffled. Some one prayed me into the kingdom of God, that I know. “We serve a loving, merciful, faithful and just God, so how could that be?”, I asked myself.
“Two people can accomplish more than twice as much as one; they get a better return for their labor. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But people who are alone when they fall are in real trouble. And on a cold night, two under the same blanket can gain warmth from each other. But how can one be warmed alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NLT)
“Just as our bodies have many parts, and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are all parts of His one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others” (Romans 12:4-5 NLT)
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in Heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:19-20 NKJV)
What can I say? Unity is a crucial, important and powerful factor in the body of Christ. It strengthens the body of Christ, not in our own strength, but in God’s strength because He is in our midst. The Word of God says that we are all one body in Christ, and that we all belong to each other. Without unity we are attacked and defeated. With unity we have the opportunity and the ability to: Continue reading →
